The rules of the game, outside the game. By playing ZapClash, you accept them. We tried to write them the way we talk.
Last updated: 18 September 2026
ZapClash is an online party game published by DAHULAB (SAS, 57 rue Raymond Poincaré, 54000 Nancy, France), hereafter “the publisher” or “we”. It is available at zapclash.com and tv.zapclash.com, from a browser, with no install.
These terms of use (“Terms”) apply to anyone who uses the service, with or without an account (“you”, “the player”). They complement the legal notice and the privacy policy.
ZapClash is available for free. We reserve the right to later offer paid features, subscriptions or advertising; if we do, the matching conditions will be shown before any commitment and these Terms will be updated. Nothing that is free today will be billed to you without your explicit agreement.
The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running, but we do not guarantee permanent availability, the absence of bugs, or compatibility with every device or every TV. The service may be changed, suspended or stopped at any time, including for maintenance.
An internet connection and a recent browser are required. Connection costs are yours.
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account. Below that, you can play as a guest in a room with adults or friends, under a parent or guardian’s responsibility. ZapClash’s tone is taunting, sometimes mocking (the commentator is not gentle); it is not meant for young children.
You can create or join a room with just a nickname and an avatar. Your phone remembers that choice from one game to the next through a technical identifier stored in your session. Your scores are not kept beyond the game and do not appear on the public leaderboard.
An account (nickname, email, password) lets you keep your stats, badges and history, and appear on the public leaderboard. You can enable two-factor authentication and passkeys from your profile.
With an account, a public page shows your nickname, avatar, stats, badges and recent games. Never your email. If you do not want a public page, play as a guest or delete your account.
You freely choose your nickname and avatar (emoji or photo). You agree they will not be:
By sending a photo, you warrant that you hold the rights to it and you grant us the right to display it to the other players in your rooms and on your profile pages, for as long as you keep it as your avatar. Photos are cropped and re-encoded; metadata (including geolocation) is removed.
We may remove a nickname, avatar or photo, or suspend an account, without notice, if these rules are not followed. The host of a room may, for their part, kick a player from the lobby.
Sabotaging each other with dirty tricks: that’s the game. What is not:
If you break these rules, we may cancel scores, remove badges, suspend or delete an account, and block access. Public tables mix strangers: stay decent, report what is not to contact@zapclash.com.
A room is identified by a 5-letter code. Anyone who knows the code can join during the lobby: only share the code with people you want in your game. Rooms are short-lived and deleted automatically (see the privacy policy).
The TV screen (tv.zapclash.com) is a spectator only: it shows what the players see (nicknames, avatars, scores, reactions). If you display it in a place open to the public, you are responsible for that. The Chromecast feature relies on the Google Cast SDK, subject to Google’s terms.
Questions, answers, comments and “trash talk” are written to make people laugh and play, not to serve as a reference. An answer may be approximate or dated; the commentator exaggerates on principle. If a question looks wrong or out of line, tell us: contact@zapclash.com.
Scores, badges, tokens and rankings are purely honorary. They have no monetary value, are neither transferable nor exchangeable, and may be recalculated if a game rule changes or if cheating is detected.
ZapClash, its name, its logo, Jean-Mi, its questions, its texts, its visuals, its sounds and its code belong to DAHULAB or to their authors. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service, to play. No copying, extraction of questions, reverse engineering or commercial reuse without written agreement.
Sharing screenshots of your games, party videos, or talking about the game: go for it.
To the extent permitted by law, DAHULAB shall not be held liable for indirect damages linked to use of the service (loss of game data, unavailability, a falling-out after a well-placed Pickpocket), nor for content provided by players (nicknames, photos). As the service is free, any liability we may have is limited to cases of proven fault.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or delete an account in case of a breach of these Terms, or after a long period of inactivity (see retention periods). A deleted account cannot be recovered.
We may update these Terms, in particular if the service changes (new features, a paid offer, advertising). The update date is at the top of the page. For a material change, a notice will be shown on the site or sent to account holders. Continuing to play after the change takes effect counts as acceptance.
These Terms are governed by French law. If we disagree, write to us first at contact@zapclash.com: we prefer to settle it amicably. Failing agreement, French courts have jurisdiction. Under the French Consumer Code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge; their details will be published here as soon as the service includes a paid offer. The European online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
